Tale of two Bruins
Two dudes pretending to drive a Zamboni on the Zakim bridge, doesn't get much better than that.
I got the picture below signed by Andrew Raycroft and Patrice Bergeron when the did a signing at the Boston Bruins Pro Shop during Bergeron's rookie year.
We all know what Bergeron turned into for the Bruins but I can't help to imagine how much cooler this picture would be if Raycroft turned into the same caliber player for the B's (granted he did win rookie of the year).
Raycroft has been out of the NHL since 2010 and Bergeron is still going strong.
Some fun Raycroft facts; during the 2005-2006 season he was demoted to the Bruins 3rd string goalie behind a guy named Tim Thomas and Hannu Toivonen (remember him??). Then during the off season he was trade to the Maple Leafs for some finnish dude named... Tuukka Rask.
No matter where life has brought Raycroft and Bergeron over the years they will always have their time on the Zakim.
*** The Zakim opened March 30th, 2003, big Rookie year for Boston.
